Fostering in Harrow

Childhood is an extremely important time in everyone’s life, where a person’s emotional, physical and social development determine who they will become as an adult. Therefore, it is extremely important that children grow up in a healthy environment to ensure they get the best start in life. Foster care is the best place for many children who may have received inadequate parenting, and there is a huge need for more foster parents to care for these children.

Foster care at Harrow
Sometimes, parents may become unwell or unable to care for their children properly. Something unexpected may happen, and emergency foster care may be needed.

Emergency foster care can happen at a fast pace and requires foster carers to be prepared at all times for when a child is matched to their family who needs a placement.

Foster carers must also be well prepared to handle challenging situations and provide the best possible environment for the child as he or she may have gone through some traumatic experiences. Emergency foster care may extend to longer term depending on the situation of the child and his or her family.

UK Fostering makes it all possible
UK Fostering is an Ofsted rated ‘outstanding’ fostering agency which works with local authorities all over London and the UK. We are happy to speak to anybody who is interested in becoming a foster carer and explaining how the application process works and exactly what the requirements are. We are currently looking to recruit more foster carers in and around Harrow, so if you live in this area, don’t hesitate to get in touch today.
