Chris Christophides works at UK Fostering Ltd as a Quality Assurance Manager. He has been in the social work field for over 30 years. Having studied Sociology, Psychology, then Social Work, Chris worked in local government children’s services departments for the first 21 years of his career. In 2003 Chris joined the British Association for Adoption and Fostering (BAAF) as a Trainer and a Consultant until 2015. Whilst at BAAF he delivered training courses in England and overseas, he provided consultancy, he took part in research projects and he is a co-author of a published European study on remand fostering. From 2015 onwards Chris has been working independently in local authorities, voluntary adoption agencies, and the independent fostering provider sector as a Panel Chair, a Panel Adviser and a Trainer.
Chris quality assures fostering assessments that are completed by Independent Social Workers at UK Fostering Ltd, and he provides advice on the recruitment and the approval process of foster carers.
