Emma is a qualified social worker, graduating from Canterbury Christ Church University in 2013. Emma has worked for UK Fostering since qualifying, having gained an additional year of experience in fostering during a university placement. During university, Emma also gained experience working in a mainstream secondary school, supporting young people with problematic home circumstances and social interaction difficulties. As well as doing observational work in a nursery setting and working for a charity offering short-breaks to children 0-18 years with various disabilities.
Prior to commencing university, Emma worked in another charity as a support worker for children with disabilities, and as community carer for the elderly, alongside studying for her A Levels. In addition, Emma has undertaken voluntary roles working in a primary and a secondary school for children with disabilities.
An enthusiastic and committed social worker, Emma supports our foster carers in the South East, predominantly Kent.
