Kylie – Supervising Social Worker

Hello! My name is Kylie, a Supervising Social Worker from South Africa. I joined the Southeast branch of UK Fostering in September 2025. I graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor of Social Work in 2022.

Before to moving to London in August 2025, I gained a wealth of invaluable experience in a variety of social work settings in South Africa, including schools, counselling centres, non-profit organizations and the criminal justice sector. In these sectors I worked with individuals and groups from diverse cultural, racial, age, and socio-economic backgrounds, which provided me with a wide range of skills and insights. My work covered area such as addiction, rehabilitation, mental health, child and family services, community development, and criminal justice.

These experiences have strengthened my passion and drive for social work and the people I support. I consider my work to be far more than just a career; it is a core part of my identity and purpose. I feel privileged to continue my social work journey with UK Fostering and to contribute to such meaningful work with an excellent organization.

Outside of the office, you can find me spending time with friends, soaking up the sunshine and exploring everything the UK (and beyond) has to offer.
