Nicky is a highly qualified and experienced social worker with a diverse background in child protection and management. With a career spanning over three decades, Nicky has continuously pursued professional development, earning an MA in Child Protection Studies and a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services. This extensive educational background demonstrates Nicky’s commitment to staying up to date with the latest practices and knowledge in the field.
In addition to their academic achievements, Nicky has gained practical experience in various settings, including working as a foster carer for 12 years.
This hands-on experience has provided Nicky with a deep understanding of the challenges and complexities involved in caring for vulnerable children. Nicky’s expertise extends beyond direct care, as they have also served as an Independent Reviewing Officer in the Children’s Safeguarding Standards Unit of a Local Authority.
