Tanneisha – Supervising Social Worker

Hello, my name is Tanneisha, and I joined UK Fostering in the summer of 2022.

I have extensive background experience working with adults with disabilities and mental health, and children placed in residential. However, I completed my degree in Social Work in 2013, and though I spent some time in safeguarding and child protection, my experience is predominately in fostering.

I have worked in the Local Authority fostering team but, by choice, I have spent most of my time in IFA’s based in the West Midlands. Fostering is a very familiar sector for me not only because I work within it, but I also come from a fostering family. I view this as a huge advantage as it enables me to see both sides of the coin.

I am married with 4 children, so as you can imagine I am a busy bee. However, in my spare time, I enjoy going to the cinemas, travelling and making memories with my family and friends.

In my spare time, I like to cook and spend time with my family. Occasionally, you’d find me knitting and colouring as well.
