Fostering Fortnight starts on the 14th May 2012 and will draw attention to a range of issues concerning Children in Care and Fostering. The event, organised and coordinated by The Fostering Network, will aim to raise awareness of the need for more foster carers, and to get people interested and involved in foster care.

During Fostering Fortnight we can expect increased activities by voluntary organisations, private organisations and Local Authorities to increase the profile of foster carers. In the run-up to Fostering Fortnight, the Fostering Network has released new figures and statistics concerning the lack of foster families in the UK. Every 22 minutes a child needs a foster family in the UK.

If you are thinking of becoming a foster carer, please contact us at UK Fostering today to discuss your situation.
