Left Ear And Ear Right
I have these for listening,
Left ear and ear right,
Plus the bit in the middle,
That struggles at night.
The left ear is listening,
To a whispering word,
The right ear hears different,
And all seems absurd.
The bit in the middle,
Well let’s call it ME,
Is locked in a battle,
Without wanting to be!
I place hand on left,
And I place hand on right,
But I still hear their voices,
And I’m feeling contrite!
It’s said with a smile,
And shared with a tear,
And making them sad,
Is the thing that I fear.
So as I listen to left ear,
And also ear right,
I’m met with a conflict,
With no end in sight.
And everyone worries,
And everyone’s sad,
And it’s me in the middle,
And me being bad,
And I reach for the mirror,
And crash to the floor,
And I smash up the X Box,
And kick at the door,
And throw at the window,
And desperately bawl,
And wipe away tears,
And I’m starting to fall,
And I flip off the mattress,
And kick at my chair,
And shout out so loudly,
And I don’t really care,
And my strength starts to weaken,
And I survey the site,
And it’s all from my listening,
To left ear and ear right!
