Fostering in South East

UK Fostering is passionate about identifying resilient individuals with a sincere desire to make a difference to the lives of children. We provide high quality training and support so that carers are helped every step of the way. UK Fostering is contracted with the majority of local authorities across the South East of England and is a valued partner to the local authorities who require support for their children.

South East England fostering placements

Not only is it a legislative requirement for children being placed in foster care to remain placed near their home area, it is an ethical one. Despite the problems children may have experienced at home, they will have friends on their community, wider family and more often that a stable educational setting where they will be known and supported. To move from their home, school and community in one go, purely on the basis of the lack of local foster homes, is a national problem and one which we are helping to address.

Thinking about fostering in South East England?

Fostering with UK Fostering is a real team effort. We provide considerable support which includes regular visits to your home, phone calls, 24 hours emergency phone line and joint attendance at any important meetings for the child. We facilitate local days out to places such as theme parks and also international opportunities for foster children and foster carers to visit India in partnership with our sister charity Ukindo (www.ukindo.org).

If you live in London, Hertfordshire, Essex, North Kent, Surrey, Middlesex, Berkshire or Buckinghamshire we would love to hear from you.
